ABOUT US
AT THE END OF ALL OUR EXPLORING WILL BE TO ARRIVE WHERE WE STARTED AND KNOW THE PLACE FOR THE FIRST TIME.

You deserve a therapist and therapeutic approach that best fit your needs.
Michele Goldberg
Founding Owner
I am lucky to love what I do and feel so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your life.
While applying for my first internship, the interviewer broached the topic of love's role in therapy. I responded unequivocally: If I cannot love you as my client, then I have no place being your therapist. For me, genuine care transcends boundaries. This belief fuels my resilience; I never experience burnout because each client matters deeply to me. Your life, relationships, struggles, and triumphs—all hold significance in my eyes. No detail is too mundane, no secret too daunting.
However, my commitment to care doesn't negate the need for honest and direct assessment. I believe in a balance between compassion and critique. In therapy, like in life, both are indispensable.
Fostering your autonomy remains paramount. I strive to empower you to trust your instincts, while knowing you're not alone in navigating life's complexities. You are supported both in exercising choice and in living with the consequences.
To cultivate this dynamic, I foster an environment of warmth and equality, free from judgment. Our relationship is one of mutual respect and authenticity, where you can freely express yourself. Openness, playfulness, and security are essential; they enable us to exchange candid feedback rooted in genuine connection. This is how we become more than the sum of our parts.
Through inquiry, we navigate towards clarity, acceptance, and inner peace. Our aim is to guide you towards a fresh perspective, woven from your struggles and strengths. We aim to nurture your inner resilience, reconcile fragmented aspects of yourself, and craft tangible solutions for your real-life challenges. Above all, my goal is for you to feel truly seen and understood, enabling you to see, understand, and value your authentic self.

Hazel Gilson
Associate Therapist
Hi, my name is Hazel, AMFT & APCC, artist, and explorer.
As your therapist, I aim to help you reveal, rebuild, recover, and renew. I take a personalized approach based on your unique needs—to help you navigate difficult situations, work through loss and grief, stabilize and manage mental health challenges, gently uncover trauma, address patterns contributing to relational and emotional difficulties, and break cycles of destructive behavior—so that you can find a sense of security, resolve your pain, and learn how to lessen its control on your life.
Over the course of 10 years as a photographer, I traveled the world—Europe, Asia, the North Pacific, and the Middle East—finding friendship, wisdom, and beauty in unexpected places. I discovered the best parts of myself and others by getting lost, making mistakes, facing my own brokenness, and making art of dark places.
My personal and professional experiences have taught me that it is through experiencing brokenness we emerge our most resilient.
Those years of travel taught me how universal pain and hope are, and how much people long to be seen and understood. My experiences—both traveling and through my own healing journey—give me a unique perspective to empathize with and guide clients from varied backgrounds, deepening the therapeutic relationship and allowing me to provide meaningful support.
As an attachment-focused therapist, I believe that the therapeutic relationship has the ability to heal the mind. Sharing and experiencing your truth in a safe, unconditionally accepting environment can profoundly alter the course of your life, giving the painful and broken parts of yourself new meaning.
