WHO LOOKS OUTSIDE, DREAMS; WHO LOOKS INSIDE, AWAKES.

Genuine Curiosity is Key
At Find Your Center Therapy, we believe that genuine curiosity is the cornerstone of healing. We recognize the infinite variety of human experience, each unique and deserving of exploration. Our approach is rooted in the understanding that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to life's challenges. Instead, we approach each individual's journey with an open mind and genuine curiosity to understand your story.
How it Works
At our boutique therapy practice, we believe in a compassionate, client-centered approach to online therapy. We are dedicated to helping you achieve mental wellness through a process that is both personalized and effective. Serving clients in California, Colorado, and Florida, we make quality therapy accessible from the comfort of your home.
To get started, simply fill out the form on our contact page. Once we receive your form, we’ll promptly reach out to schedule the initial phone consultation.
This conversation is an opportunity for you to discuss what you’re looking for in therapy and for the therapist to share a bit about their approach. This consultation will help determine if we are a good match.
- 3. Intake Form
After the phone consultation, we will send you an intake form via Simple Practice. If you decide to proceed, you’ll fill out this form to provide your therapist with further information about you. This information is crucial for developing a personalized therapy plan tailored to your goals.
- 4. Zoom Sessions Begin
Once your intake form is complete, your online sessions will begin. These sessions are scheduled on a weekly basis. All sessions are conducted via a secure platform and are designed to be flexible and convenient.

Our Modalities
A structured, task-based model that addresses compulsivity or dependency in romance, sex, love, dating, and porn, with manualized recovery for addictive behavior while addressing other areas of concern. We treat betrayed partners through the lens of the partner trauma model and offer formal disclosure support.
An evidence-based treatment that processes traumatic
memories to an adaptive resolution, reducing their negative impact in the present. We employ both visual and tactile bilateral stimulation administered remotely with tremendous effect. This technological advancement allows you to receive the gold standard of trauma treatment from the comfort of your home.
An evidence-based model providing concrete coping skills with four modules: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. This modality is the preferred initial step in any higher level of care, including outpatient and inpatient facilities. DBT creates containment for clients facing intense emotions in turbulent circumstances.
An evidence-based intervention that promotes conscious, nonjudgmental awareness of the present moment. It extends beyond the practice of meditation to include any experience in which you pay attention on purpose in the here and now. Although it can decrease stress, anxiety, sadness, and anger, its objective is simply to witness your thoughts, feelings, and sensations. In doing so, we learn acceptance and respond constructively. From this compassionate perspective, we learn to approach ourselves with love, kindness, and respect.
PIT is an experiential treatment that promotes healthy, reciprocal and lasting relationships for those with intimacy disorders that result in codependency, love addiction or love avoidance. Created by Pia Mellody, we work through early childhood experience by "giving back" the emotional baggage of your past. This involves active visualization, guided journaling, and psychodrama.
An active, evidence-based model proven as effective as medication in treating a wide variety of life difficulties. CBT replaces distorted thinking and unhealthy behavior with adaptive problem-solving skills. It teaches you to approach feared experiences rather than avoiding what makes you uncomfortable. We use a specific step-by-step logical protocol to reveal and challenge habitual and destructive self-defeating thoughts.
Internal Family Systems (a treatment for individuals) is an orientation that views the self as comprised of many different subparts existing in disharmony. We identify wounded parts, their protectors, "managers," and a core self. We investigate how, when, and why they appeared and heal their inner conflict. This integration creates a sense of clarity, self- compassion, and peace.
Somatic Experience views past trauma as physically encoded and stored in the body. It seeks to reset the nervous system by bringing the body out of chronic fight, flight, and freeze. Rather than turning away from sensation, we move into this experience to process and release painful memories. This introduces the revolutionary concept that we process both top-down and bottom-up, meaning our physical bodies influence our mind and emotions based on our personal history.
Psychodynamic Therapy is an insight-based therapeutic approach that aims to uncover the unconscious patterns influencing your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships. By exploring past dynamics and emotional wounds, we guide you in cultivating self-awareness and discovering the root of current challenges. This therapy fosters a better understanding of yourself, enhancing your ability to form healthier relationships and make conscious life choices free of the psychological residue of your past. We identify how we are re-enacting formative life experiences and relational templates from childhood. At FYC, psychodynamic work is integrated into every treatment.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a modern, evidence-based approach that focuses on your values and committing to actions that align with them. ACT empowers you to lead a more meaningful and fulfilling life by expanding your psychological flexibility. Founded by Steven Hayes, this action-oriented model assists you in experiencing "negative" emotions as part of a whole and satisfying life. Rather than solving or eliminating painful feelings, we practice thought defusion and normalize feared and uncomfortable inner processes.
Did You Know?
Research indicates that the therapeutic alliance— the relationship between therapist and client— is one of the most important factors in successful therapy outcomes, regardless of the specific modality used. This means that the trust and collaboration between you and your therapist can significantly enhance the effectiveness of the treatment, whether it's CBT, DBT, or any other therapeutic approach.
