Frequently Asked Questions

During your initial consultation, you can expect an open and supportive conversation where you can discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and any questions you may have. This is a great time to talk about your preferred style of therapy and see if you both will be a good match. Your therapist will ask questions to get to know you better and to understand your unique situation.

50 minutes. We suggest one to two sessions per week for optimal efficiency. The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and goals, which will be discussed and determined with your therapist.

We provide in-person and virtual (teletherapy) sessions for clients in California, Colorado, and Florida. In-person sessions are available in Boulder, Colorado and Santa Barbara, California. For those who prefer or require remote meetings for flexibility, teletherapy allows you to connect with your therapist while maintaining the same effective, high-quality care.

Our fees for therapy sessions vary depending on the type of service provided. Clients pay their fee by virtual payment software prior to or at the time of service. Please contact our office for current fee information.

We do not accept insurance at this time. However, we provide a superbill at the beginning of the following month that will identify procedure and diagnosis codes for the previous month's sessions. This superbills will state charges, payment, and any outstanding balances. You can submit this alongside a claim form to your primary insurer. They will reimburse you directly per your out-of-network benefits once you have met your deductible. Please verify your specific benefits with your insurance provider.

The cancellation window is a minimum of 48 hours. Should rescheduling become a pattern, the therapist retains full discretion to increase that window in order to make space for others in need of support. You will be charged in full for any modifications to the schedule once that time has elapsed.

Yes, we offer therapy for couples and families. Our therapists are experienced in working with relationships and family dynamics, providing comprehensive support tailored to your specific needs.

You can authorize the release of information to and from other healthcare providers by completing a release of information form through our HIPAA compliant patient portal. 

We use a platform called Simple Practice. We take your privacy and safety seriously. Our billing platform is HIPAA-compliant, ensuring your confidentiality and protecting your personal health information.. Additionally, our therapists adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards to provide a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
