We provide a superbill at the beginning of the following month that will identify procedure and diagnosis codes. You can submit this alongside a claim form to your primary insurer. They will reimburse you directly per your out-of-network benefits. Most insurers are modifying coverage to include remote sessions, but please verify your specific benefits. Each session is 50 minutes and clients pay their fee by virtual payment software prior to or at the time of service. If you need to pay by credit card or PayPal, a 3.5% surcharge is applied. In an effort to support those in need of crucial mental health resources in this period of tremendous difficulty, we are making available a number of sliding scale spots for those with demonstrated financial hardship.
Many are struggling at this time. Given the heavy demand for services in this climate, the cancellation window is a minimum of 48 hours and, should rescheduling become a pattern, the therapist retains full discretion to increase that window in order to make space for others in need of support. You will be charged in full for any modifications to the schedule once that time has elapsed.
It may be in your best interest to retain some semblance of regularity in areas that provide stability and structure now, including routine therapy. Since individuals are keen to this and are actively accessing mental health services, we have less calendar availability. It is trickier to adjust the schedule than it might be under normal circumstances. We will nonetheless do our best to accommodate true conflicts and emergencies.
It is also important that you review the entirety of the consent and the telehealth addendum. Please make sure to include an emergency contact that is in close physical proximity to you, in addition to the information for your local emergency clinic or hospital.
The authorization is typically something clients use to enable us to speak with therapists, current or previous psychiatrists, and any paying parties, if you are comfortable. Do not forget to also include a local emergency contact such as a parent or partner. Complete as many individual, separate authorizations as may be useful.
